How does Tesco’s Pump work?
When you approach a Tesco petrol station that offers pay-at-pump services, you’ll see signs directing you to the pumps that accept payment by card. Once you’ve selected your fuel type, simply insert your card into the machine and follow the on-screen instructions.
Please note that some machines may ask you to enter your PIN before beginning to pump fuel. This is for your security and to help prevent fraud.
After you’ve finished pumping fuel, the machine will give you a receipt. You can then drive away and continue on your journey. It’s as simple as that!
Why does Tesco Charge 1 at the pump?
Tesco charges a small fee of 1 per transaction to help cover the costs of offering pay-at-pump services. This charge is made at the time of purchase and will appear on your receipt.
What cards can I use to pay at the pump?
You can use any Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit or debit card to pay for fuel at a Tesco petrol station. Simply insert your card into the machine and follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I know how much fuel I’ve bought?
Once you’ve finished pumping fuel, the machine will give you a receipt. This will show you how much fuel you’ve purchased, as well as the cost of the fuel and the 1 transaction fee.
Can I use my Tesco Clubcard at the pump?
Yes, you can! If you’d like to collect Clubcard points when paying for fuel, simply insert your Clubcard into the machine when prompted. You’ll then be able to collect points on your fuel purchase in the same way that you would if you were paying inside the store.
I’m having problems using my card at the pump. What should I do?

How long does Pay at Pump take to come out Tesco?

When will I be charged for my fuel?
